Victor Osimhen has confirmed his inclusion to the Nigeria U23 team by Coach Samson Siasia. The forward has also denied rumours about joining Tottenham

Osimhen confirmed this on TVC News’ sister channel TVC E’s daily sports programme ‘ TVC Sports Centre’, when he was asked about all the attention he has been getting since receiving the Golden Boot at the Under-17 World Cup.

He said, ” I’m trying to forget about all things concerning my contract and just focus on resuming training with the Under-23 Super Eagles and doing well with them”.
Osimhen also rejected claims that he has signed for English club side Tottenham F.C.
He said, “I have not signed any contracts with any club, there are many club sides interested in me but I want to just focus on playing well and leave the contract talks to my representatives, I trust them to do a good job”
Osimhen broke the nine-goal record previously set by Florent Sinama Pongolle of France in 2001 and Ivory Coast’s Souleymane Coulibaly in 2011 at the just concluded FIFA Under 17 world cup in Chile.
Samson Siasia is faced with the task of qualifying the Nigeria U23 team for next year’s Olympic games in Rio, Brazil,  Osimhen and 4 other players from Amuneke will join the rest of 26 players invited by Siasia to Morocco for their Pre-African U23 Cup of Nations training.
